The ATE UK Summer event is back. Over four days, 13th to 16th June, 10.00-15.00, there will be the chance to refresh your experience of the Alexander Technique, rejoice in the exhilaration of mind and body in unity and remember the pleasure of working as a group.
Each day will follow a similar format, with hands on work within the group, some guided activities, a session in the afternoon led by guest teachers and finishing with a spell in semi-supine. Monday afternoon will be Kirstie Richardson on her Alexander in Motion classes, Tuesday Sarah Witkin will cover saddle-work in AT and Wednesday ATE UK welcomes Thomas Pope who will be remembering Paul Burge. We hope to also welcome Ken and Angela Thompson and Susan Green. Thursday will be slightly different with a breathing activity in the morning presented by Gordon Burgess followed by a short ATE UK AGM before a later lunch, then cake and the 'house band' of ATE musicians to close the event.
Teas and coffee will be provided but please bring your own lunch (or buy from the Mill Cafe or the nearby Aldi).
You are welcome for all four days or one or more of your choosing. ATE UK members and EACAT students may attend as part of their membership, but the event is open to others - friends, family, pupils - at a rate of £40 per day towards costs. As a co-operative any profits are applied back to benefit the teaching of AT.
